Ms Gunavathi was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of IJM Corporation Berhad on 17 December 2025.

Ms Gunavathi has over 38 years of extensive experience in civil and commercial litigation, with specialisation in contractual, civil, banking, construction, employment, strata management and family law. She also has over 28 years of expertise in mediation, arbitration, and negotiation, and is widely recognised for resolving high-value and sensitive disputes.
