15 May 2026 IJM Group

PETALING JAYA, 15 May 2026 – I refer to the media reports relating to the investigations against me by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (“MACC”). In their letter dated 30th April 2026 MACC has confirmed that the investigations have been completed and the case now categorised as “No Further Action.”

This decision is welcomed as I have steadfastly maintained my innocence.

The investigations and publicity given thereof has caused me severe reputational damage and undone what has been a lifetime of public and corporate service, caused immense strain on my family, friends, and the organisations I serve- to all of whom I am grateful, especially my wife and family and dear friends, for standing by me.

I now want to put this difficult period behind me and move on.
