KUALA LUMPUR: Capital Group Companies Inc, continued to accumulate shares in IJM Corporation Bhd, acquiring 2.38 million shares on April 3 and 7.

A filing with Bursa Malaysia showed it acquired 1.85 million shares on April 3 and another 537,100 shares on April 7.

After the latest acquisitions, the US-based fund’s shareholding increased to 75.96 million shares or 8.84%. It was deemed interest through its management/nominee companies.

The share price closed at RM6.05 on April 3 and ended the day at RM6 on April 7.

IJM’s shares plunged to RM4.90, a 52-week low on March 19 this year. Its 52-week high was RM9.35 on April 13 last year.
