PETALING JAYA: The Capital Group Co, Inc and its nominees accumulated some 6.55 million shares in IJM Corp Bhd from March 24 to 27.

A filing with Bursa Malaysia showed the US-based fund’s nominees acquired 600,000 shares on March 24 and 1.5 million shares the next day.

On March 26, it bought 3.85 million shares and another 600,000 units the following day.

The shares acquired over the four-day period represented a 0.76% stake.

IJM's share price closed at RM5.35 on March 24, RM5.60 the next day and RM5.85 on March 26 and 27.

The construction and property development giant's share price surged to a 52-week high on April 13 last year and dropped to a 52-week low of RM4.90 on March 19.
