PETALING JAYA: The share price of IJM Corporation Bhd, which was battered in late March, saw The Capital Group Companies, Inc accumulating 6.55 million shares from March 24 to 27.

A filing with Bursa Malaysia showed the US-based fund’s nominees had acquired 600,000 shares on March 24 and 1.50 million shares the next day. On March 26, it bought 3.85 million shares and another 600,000 units the following day.

The shares acquired over the four-day period represented a 0.76% stake. IJM share price closed at RM5.35 on March 24 and at RM5.60 the next day. It closed higher at RM5.85 on March 26 and was unchanged the next day.

IJM’s share price surged to a 52-week high on April 13 last year while it hit a 52-week low of RM4.90 on March 19 this year.

The group is involved in construction, property development and also oil palm cultivation.
