IJM Construction (represented by The Spring project, Penang) has won the gold medal award for the Occupational Safety & Health National Excellence Award 2007, which was held at Putra World Trade Centre. The award was presented by our Deputy Prime Minister, Y.B Dato' Sri Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak and was received by IJM CEO Dato' Krishnan Tan and Regional Director, Mr.Liew Hau Seng.
The winner was evaluated based on the following criteria:-

The implementation of the organisation's OHS Management System; |
| 4) |
The effectiveness of the organisation's Emergency Response Plan; and |

The organisation's incident/accident statistic for the year of 2007. |
