 Expanding on its
strength in infrastructural development, IJM also brings to
the area of highway management its multi-faceted capabilities. Its
familiar concession, the 6-lane Sungai Besi Highway, runs from the
Jalan Istana Interchange to Universiti Putra Malaysia, offering
users a host of facilities from automated toll collection lanes to
petrol kiosks, food stalls and more. These facilities and the
achievement of ISO 9002 certification amply demonstrate our ability
to upgrade and maintain in peak condition this vital artery.
 Leveraging this strength, IJM added on another concession
for the New Pantai Highway. Scheduled to open in early 2004, this
19.6 km dual 3-lane carriageway incorporates an Intelligent
Transportation System. Fibre optic communication conveys variable
messages to drivers ahead of time helping travelers from the densely
populated areas of Subang, Old Klang Road, Pantai and Bangsar enjoy
a smooth drive. Such efficient traffic control management will not
only minimize commuting time but also go a long way to enhancing our
growing reputation in the highway management business.
